After failing to reach the title game the past two seasons, it was pretty much over already… but had Georgia come back this season to win their 3rd in five seasons it would have proven the dynasty wasn’t dead.

It’s now officially dead… if there is even such a thing as a two-year dynasty.

2 Titles does not equal a dynasty.

You gotta win 3 titles in a relatively short amount of time to be a dynasty, right? I've never considered us such, not yet, anyway.

I like our chances going forward, though. We got beat by a better team and a great QB tonight.

It was never a true dynasty.

They had a good 2 year run.

Tough to complain about 2 back to back SEC Championships. It's hard to win a natty & Ole Miss outplayed us tonight.

We'll still kick Auburn's arse next season

The days of the same team winning the national championship a bunch in a short period is over in the 12 team playoff era. It's likely gonna expand and get even harder.

The big programs will still get them but way more spread out and way more non traditional teams mixed in as well

After watching Georgia lose the way they did tonight, you guys probably brought them back from the dead.

Yet what programs wouldn’t trade spots with Georgia right now?

I watched Saban win 3 out of 4.

4 out of 7.

5 out of 9. I consider the end of the dynasty after 2017.

6 out of 12.

That’s a dynasty. If Georgia claims a dynasty after a 3-4 year span without one. Lame.

Agree, it will look more like basketball. Duke has been the dominant program and has like 5 in the last 30 years

What's the opposite of a dynasty? That's where Auburn is right now.

Dynasty?

They were losing to Vandy regularly in recent memory. And not the good Vandy of late.

Exactly, the bigger the tournament the more it makes it extremely difficult to navigate.

Playing 4 single elimination games in a row against legit top 10 teams is not something anybody is gonna be able to do year in and out

Ehhh. Georgia is having a historic run and has been the most consistent football program over the past 5 years.

Yep, this was really about the last year Georgia had to make it happen, and even then it was really on the weaker end. But I would have considered it one still. I think you really need 3 in 4 years to get one started, but 3 in 5 is still a decent argument since you're above 50% in terms of national championships per year.

IMO, Alabama's dynasty was from 2009-2020, although we had a chance to extend it for a few years beyond 2020 and failed.
