Cmon guys. Last year we all knew that the problem deboer had was his buddy grubb wasn’t with him. That was the missing ingredient. We have turned against him too soon. We need to give them 8 years together minimum to get things fixed from the disaster program they inherited.

I recognize the sarcasm but I will say this. He did deserve a year 3 and maybe even a 4th before we make the decision to fire him. The issues we see started back in 2021/2022 during Saban’s last few years. By year 3 or 4 DeBoaet will have his players in place and we would have a much clearer picture of whether he’s the man or not.

Any other coach would fire the OC after a year like this. Grubb will be retained for one reason and one reason only: he’s friends with DeBoer.
