Why is the SEC so bad? I blame NIL and lack of passion.

Another bi-product of the NIL era is this bullshite product that's playing in the bowl games. Kids sitting out. No passion. They just want their money and don't give a frick about the results. It's not all of college football; we're seeing this truly affect the SEC. It's almost like the other conferences instill a little bit of pride in beating the SEC and actually giving a frick.
College football is (has been) dead. It's depressing.

How many times are you going to start this thread?
The SEC made up 50% of the top10.

So much melting on here about the SEC sucking, but when we beat the breaks off of Indiana tomorrow, the board will melt then too.

Separate issue. Clearly, the SEC teams in the top 10 were overrated.

If you gave me a milion dollars at the age of 18 I would have done some outright retard shite. Its a miracle they decide to play at all.
That is not a healthy age to receive that sort of money unearned

Why? Because the 7th, 8th and 9th place SEC teams barely lost a couple of games even while they had multiple opt-outs?
I think misery loves company and some of you are just hoping to not be alone.

Players that are more interested in cashing checks than playing ball. Kirby Smart is the only SEC coach that truly holds his players accountable for playing hard and with physical toughness.
I was forced to watch some Big Ten football this year due to the YTTV-Disney war of '25. They don't have the athletes, but they also don't do dumb shite.

Yes, if Vandy doesn't beat Iowa then it surely means that.

It’s the Lincoln Riley effect, after he cowarded out of playing in the toughest conference(sec), the football gods threw an uno reverse out and now Riley has to play in the toughest conference.

Because the literal GOAT head coach, who raised all boats in the SEC for almost two decades, is now retired. Almost every season resulted in him winning the title or you beating him for the title. He's gone, so that motivation is no longer there.
It happens in all aspects of life. Your best employee leaving isn't bad because of the loss of his productivity alone. It's bad because he pushed everyone to be better. People slack if not pushed by near psychopathic leadership.

I’ll wait to judge the SEC after seeing how bama & winner of UGA/ole miss do against whoever they play rest of the playoffs. They will come out at full strength because a championship is on the line.
If you’re not in the playoffs, there’s not really much left to play for. Players opting out, coaches opting out, teams playing with half their starters. People can say play for the man next to you and finish strong and all of that crap, but let’s be honest, your season is over.
With the move to 12 teams, It’s playoffs or bust for a lot of SEC teams that are pouring resources in to their program. Anything short is considered a failure.
Im convinced the only reason these teams participate in bowl games is to get the extra practices for the players staying.
