Good, now let's hope he blossoms under our new WR coach.

I usually like Nick, but that seems like an unnecessary question to ask right now. Why try to stir shite up before the Rose Bowl?

Good. What Ryan Williams needs is an offseason to regather himself. I don't think he ever really recovered from the concussion and position change.

Think of all the rumors from all the supposed in the knows with 'sources' who trashed him as "not caring" or "already in the portal".

His issues were the same as Ty's... all mental.

If this question came from one of our reporters, we literally have the worst people covering our team.

ETA: I believe the question came from Hunter De Siver, who apparently covers the team for Bama Central on Sports Illustrated? I believe he asked Keelon and Austin similar questions about whether they'll be with the team next year.

It's embarrassing. There are so many better questions they could have asked (e.g., how have you grown this year from the start of the season until now, what are some things you have learned from Ty and Mack this year, etc.)?

But no, they go right to "aRe YoU tRaNsFerRiNg? hurr durr"

With these type of questions I’m waiting on one of “our” beat reporters to ask DeBoer if he has stopped beating his wife. And if any of our assistants wives owns a monkey.

Seems like a lot of our reporters were asking these questions to different guys. Incredibly embarrassing that these guys cover the team. At least they're getting called out for it on social media.

You guys have already covered it - but it’s pathetic that these are the types of questions that some of these “reporters” are asking our guys ahead of the game. The portal questions are so shallow it’s almost unbelievable that multiple players have been asked this. A total waste of breath to even ask a player this.

It is relevant news. I can’t fault them for asking even if I don’t care for it.

There's a time and place for the question and Rose Bowl Media Day is neither the time nor the place.

Here's an example of a better question:

"Hi Richard, how does this trip to the Rose Bowl compare to the one you made back in 2023?"

See, not difficult to ask appropriate questions. Luckily, Young has more tact than Colin Gay.

As a fan, I don’t like it.

However, asking questions of public interest is their job. They’re not AD employees. They’re working for NYT, Hearst, etc.

I dont think it is relevant news to ask someone about their portal status if they don't have a portal status.

Asking someone if they plan to enter the portal ahead of the portal opening is newsworthy. There is no point in asking that once they have a status on the website. C’mon y’all.

I mean, people are talking about it. Seems like a reasonable question. And RW gave a quick answer.

His pass drops this year made this a stupid question to ask.
