I really hate NIL. The second a player gets paid his free ride should be over. Give that scholarship to some kid from a hard working family. Paying college athletes is stupid.

Off topic, but I agree. The whole thing about the Corvette was it being a front-engine, RWD, pushrod-driven sports car. It was a very American thing, and that's what made Vettes Vettes. You could love it or hate it, but if you love that technology and driving experience for what it is, Corvettes were close to the platonic ideal.
These new mid-engine C8s - to me all they are now is a Temu Ferrari or Lambo. I love Ferrari's, but I've no interest in a Corvette trying to be one. There are things that make more sense in a modern engine than desmodromic valves, but that's what makes a Ducati and Ducati.
Same to me with the front engine, RWD, pushrod Vette, preferably with a manual. But they threw that all away to make a car that, to me, screams "I really wanted a Ferrari 849, but this is the best I could do."
Anyway, carry on with the trolling or whatever this thread is.
