Sounds like you have hate in your heart. Lane built that program. The classy thing to do would be to thank him.

I mean I’m sure he can afford to get a National Championship ring made for each finger and wave at the crowd when he arrives in Oxford next year!

I’d bet my life they don’t win it all. It’s just not going to happen.

LMAO...

LSU's greatest, most celebrated players aren't even 'classy'

Team leadership has 'opted-out' of their bowl game ... This is something LSU should truely be proud of -- because it all started with this program. Now, the 'leaders' are even corrupted.

Shitty program.

Used to admire LSU, not anymore.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At LSU, #18 and #7 are sacred jersey numbers representing ultimate team values:

#18 honors the ultimate selfless leader/great teammate (focus, character, dedication), while #7 signifies the explosive playmaker/star of the team (swagger, Louisiana roots, dominance), both embodying the spirit of the program beyond just talent, with the traditions starting with Matt Mauck (2003) and Patrick Peterson (early days) respectively, making them coveted honors.

#18: The "Great Teammate"
Who gets it: A player demonstrating exceptional leadership, focus, character, and dedication, often an unsung hero or someone selfless who lifts the team.
Origin: Started in 2003 with QB Matt Mauck after LSU's national championship win, given to a player embodying team spirit, not necessarily the biggest star.
Qualities: Focus, attention to detail, leadership, intangibles, embodying the LSU spirit.

#7: The "Playmaker"
Who gets it: A dynamic, impactful player with swagger, usually a Louisiana native, who is a recognized leader and elevates the team.
Origin: Has a deep history, often associated with top playmakers and a Louisiana connection.
Qualities: Dominance, swagger, championship pedigree, team leader.

Why they're special

Honor, not just talent: These numbers are reserved and awarded annually, representing the ideal LSU player in different facets (teamwork vs. flash).
Tradition: Passed down through iconic players, symbolizing continuity and excellence within the program.

Absolutely... have family tied to the area... Joined in 2014 (this time of year) on tRant after years of following along. Just wanted to state how I hoped LSU would beat Notre Dame in a bowl game.

Unfortunately, they didn't.

Except for the fans of teams still in playoffs, Ole Miss is America’s team right now.

He is not on your staff so he does not deserve that distinction.

Pretty straightforward.
