Second half on offense we returned to early season form by taking short throws as a primary play rather than as a check down. It sort of works like a run play- 5 to 7 yards.
Is this possibly a look at our offense going forward? If so, are you optimistic about it? Why or why not?

What I'm optimistic about is Ty not overthinking and just chucking those balls deep. Yeah some will get dropped just like some will be inaccurate or late..
However the moment we do that they have to back up and boom that middle opens and boom we can hit them with a nice run.
I believe the OL did well for the most part especially considering the DL they were up against so I think that is good for our future.
We already know Jam needs to be buried on the bench and RW's issues are all mental... oh and he literally is scared to catch with his hands.

I’ll be honest, Hill isn’t the fastest but that kid is a load. I haven’t seen a guy drag defender the way he does in a long long time.

I'm not your XO guy but we definitely made some in game adjustments on offense finally instead of sticking with the same plan. Even down 17 I said we just need to have them make some mistakes and filp the field position. Their offense can't go the length of the field every series and the qb will make mistakes.
That long ball their wr dropped was huge, would've been a td, can't remember what the score was but it was killer for them. We have got to stop dropping passes also, Bernard made a great catch, dropped an easy one, Horton dropped one too. I think Williams rubs butter on his hands.

He also has a nice cut and decent vision. I kept reminding and watching that long run wondering where he saw that cutback lane from the angle he was running.
If that is Jam we gain 3 or 4 yards.
If we lack anything this year it's RB talent depth. We will need to lean heavy on Hill and him playing hurt against UGA definitely helped them

I believe it's a mental thing for him. RW doesn't even try to catch with his hands he uses his pads as if he is scared to drop it.

Bitter on his hands. LOL. Good one.
I like the quick passes for 5 or 6 yards as a substitute for a running game.
Not saying that is a long term strategy.

Butter on the hands then he rubs the jersey?
I think he has checked out and is headed for the portal. It's a shame because the talent is there.

Everything isn't about portal or wanting to leave. Granted I didn't play with a transfer portal but at that age it's about girls, family and other issue.
I just think he is spooked and needs ot be awoken. I don't know how to do that but he is an asset if he is locked in
Just to add the guy is terrible using his hands to locate the ball. Every ball he tries to trap on his pads or even his helmet.

Ty has been seeing ghost and not allowing plays to develop.
Not sure why it took 3-4 games to make quick throws to gain his confidence (and not think). It then enables him to throw deep.
If Ty gets to UGA game 1 form and our WRs catch the damn ball….We win the entire damn thing.

It’s mental with him. Coaches wouldn’t still start him if he wasn’t talented. He just has to find himself again.

Or an optometrist maybe. I think this has been brought up before, but I wonder if his eyesight is an issue.

It seems like we do better on offense when we go hurry up or play fast. Maybe the fast play doesn't allow Simpson to change the play all the time.

And yet on that TD run - Dewberry tossed him across the goal-line like a sack-o-taters
