History tells me the following teams will be highly ranked in preseason. In no particular order…
Clemson
Penn State
Ohio State
Alabama
Kansas State
Texas
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Iowa
UGA
FSU
LSU
Florida
Please remember that the overall sh*tty state of any of these programs DOES NOT MATTER to the voters.

PSU probably won't be ranked, but yeah I get what you mean.
On the flip side, a 6-4 Mississippi State team will be ranked in week 11 to make it look like another fellow SEC school "beat another ranked team." Face it folks, the bias is very real on ESPN and the polls.

Amen. It really is a scam.
It’s biased opinion and popularity rather than results. It benefits a select few. They get better TV slots which means more money which means more to offer recruits and upgrade their programs.
Those teams get a 50 yard head start in a 100 yard dash.

Any poll before the final playoff poll should be ignored. They have no value before that and are for entertainment as to get fans upset and/or talking heads to have something to talk about

My post wasn’t at all about Mizzou. We are ranked exactly where we should be.
I’m biased against bias.

You have to put teams somewhere when the season starts. If we waited a couple of weeks after it started, it would still just be pollsters arbitrarily putting numbers by teams and people would still bitch.
That’s why rankings change every week. For example Missouri was top 15 at the beginning of October and now nowhere to be found.
