Most LSU fans know Wilson is a great recruiter and a great guy but the development of Rab's under his watch has been very underwhelming. I wish him well but any LSU fan who pays attention to college football knows Kevin Smith is a great recruiter and most importantly a great developer at the RB position. Those upset Frank is gone it's bc of his relationships in Nola.

Franks only redeeming quality is NO recruiting.

When not on staff: we didn’t need him anyway LSU recruits itself
He has coached at ole miss before when coach o was in Oxford and helped recruit LA kids to ole miss. Ben Jarvis green-Ellis (former patriot) and Mike Wallace (former steeler) come to mind as New Orleans kids that came to Oxford.

That’s cool. They were both under the radar recruits LSU didn’t offer
Mike Wallace was a 2 star. Green-Ellis was a 2 star transfer from Indiana.
Now go look at how LSU recruited while Frank was in Oxford. Did they lose out on New Orleans kids?
Frank was also with Kiffin for a year in Knoxville. He landed Janzen Jackson. LSU signed the #1 overall class that year. I promise you LSU doesn’t need Frank Wilson to recruit New Orleans. And he’s not a good coach. Great guy but there's a reason Kiffin chose not to retain him on the staff
