Best team ... from the best coach ... with the best dynasty of the 21st century (at the very least)? Sounds like the best team of the CFP era.

There it is.

Why would he do that? He's writing about the 2020 Bama team, not the 2019 Bama team.

Your 2019 team got a ranking and a write up.

You're not very good at this.

Alabama defeated a team who had 7 wins and played in 2 road games in order to win a national title.

Any ranking that includes that team at #1 is an absolute joke.

Lots of disrespect towards Longhorn, Oklahoma and Aggie

Kind of surprised by that

That 2019 Bama squad would have been boat raced by our 2020 team.

The 2019 Bama team you played and beat by 5 whole points had a cripple playing QB, to go along with 4 of our starting front 7 on defense being Freshmen - including both ILBs being true freshmen.

The notion that that team was better than our 2020 team is hilarious.

No chance. The 2019 team had a better quarterback and four first-rounders at WR. Game might have been high scoring, but I think 2019 Bama beats 2020 Bama by a touchdown.

It's hard to know how good the 2020 version would have been in a real season. It was never tested by an opponent at full strength or by a road crowd.

We do know that this person was the SEC's best player for part of 2020.

Plus constantly dogging LSU on how pathetic their team was.

How is beating horrible teams setting up for the best team of all time?.

These are all the things y’all said, not us. Lol.

The unfortunate truth is that the whole Covid madness makes it possible to throw stones at 2020 Bama just because the season itself was an outlier, and because of that, that team does not get its due. Had the 2020 season been played as normal without all the ridiculousness surrounding it, it would be remembered as the greatest team of all time by pretty much everyone without question. It was easily the best team I've ever seen, and I say that while trying to take my Crimson glasses off as much as possible. It was dominant on defense as well as offense and could bulldoze teams with its ground game just as easily as it could throw all over them with its blistering air attack.

I will give credit where it is due and admit that 2019 LSU was the best passing offense of all time, but if they were the best then 2020 Bama was second right behind them. 2020 Bama's ground game was better than 2019 LSU's, though, and when comparing defenses it isn't even close. Top to bottom 2020 Bama is the better team.
