According to ESPN they have the toughest strength of record at #1 and the top 30 strength of schedule

LINK

I’m shocked they made it through that gauntlet

Old Dominion
Kennesaw State
Indiana State
Illinois
Iowa
Oregon
Michigan State
UCLA
Maryland
Pedo State
Wisconsin
Purdue

Well I guess they could've schedule the powerhouse that is FSU. Thank goodness they didn't. Surprised they didn't get knocked down a few spots by not winning by a bigger margin against the most talented team in all of CFB, and the defending national champion. They really aren't that good. Probably won't be able to make 3 straight playoff appearances. 2 straight is most likely their limit with just a Heisman frontrunner at QB.

The topical democrat and Auburn Down syndrome child. Guess it makes sense with your team sucking all the fricking time. And FSU sucked Auburn women cock, but they still had a better record than 6 teams they played, and would have beaten three FCs schools they played.

They only won every game they played. They should've done more. I mean, even gaining more than -3 yards rushing in their conference championship game really isn't that impressive. They really need more players with painted fingernails and emotional support stuffed animals to be considered great.

Don't you want to move to Alabama, live and work with these folks? It's really a blessing in disguise. Akin to being Luke Wilson in Idiocracy.

Their RB looks like a LB and runs with mean intentions. DL is stout. QB is a man of the Lord and leads Bible studies for his Church, and puts the ball on a dime. They are not here by accident.

Cignetti had proven that's it's not all about talent composite from an ON3 rankings site but rather excellence scouting to fit scheme and a damn good coach who much like Saban hunts out any player that lets their guard down and becomes complacent. Cignetti and Kirby are in a tier of their own. They are both psycho in good way and the players respect them both. I realize we can laugh at IU's schedule but the eye test doesn't fail me. They are legit and better than any team in the field. I am not saying they will win it all but it wouldn't surprise me

No he hasn't. Not yet.

Plenty of minor conference teams have upset highly talented opponents in an early season matchup or a bowl game.

The key point is those are one-off games, not a grind against a difficult schedule.

Indiana beating Oregon midway through the season and then OSU late in the season is impressive... but it's not a stretch of tough games.

Their toughest 3 game stretch this year was Illinois/Iowa/Oregon. Two 8-4 teams and then an 11-1 opponent. 64th in team talent, 42nd in team talent then 5th.

These are one-off type games. In the playoff they'll likely have to play 3 games in a row against teams with top 15 talent. They could play #2 (Bama), then #5 (Oregon) then #1 (UGA) or #3 (OSU) in consecutive weeks.

That's where a lack of talent on your roster kills you. That's why things like the Blue Chip ratio exist. All the national champions we've had in recent memory have had more 4-5 star players then 3-star or less players on their roster.

This year the lowest ranked team in the talent composite who's at 50% or higher is ranked 18th. So if you're not in the top 18 this year... you don't have the talent needed to win a national title.

Cignetti can disprove that by winning a national title. Making the playoff and even winning 1-2 games won't prove it. A team below 50% in blue chips has to actually win a championship.

Starting with this was extremely weak. You have nothing of substance in your argument.

Reeks of jealousy.
