Tonight we will get the dates on all of our games next year which will finalize the 2026 schedule. We already know the teams just don't know the dates. What are your best guesses on where they will fall on the calendar?

I think we only get 2 bye weeks if the calendar falls a certain way so I think we're back to just one this year.

9/5 - Tennessee State (already confirmed)
9/12 - Western Kentucky (already confirmed)
9/19
9/26
10/3
10/10
10/17
10/24 - BYE (assumed, though not confirmed)
10/31 - Florida (already confirmed [Atlanta])
11/7
11/14
11/21
11/28 - tech

Home games: Auburn, Missouri, Oklahoma, Vandy
Away games: Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss, South Carolina

If I had my way, and this is based on absolutely nothing whatsoever, I'd want it to shake out like this:

9/19 - @SC
9/26 - @Bama
10/3 - Vandy
10/10 - Oklahoma
10/17 - @Arkansas
Bye then Florida
11/7- @Ole Miss
11/14 - Auburn
11/21 - Missouri

-It preserves our traditional slots for SC and AU
-It's definitely front loaded but I'd rather it be easier towards the end as we're trying to get healthy before SECCG/playoffs. I'd prefer that over starting wiht all the cupcakes then having a murderer's row to end it
-SC is kinda crappy, so going on the road there then bama back to back isn't necessarily the worst thing
-Give us a breather after our toughest/biggest game by getting vandy at home.
-follow up the breather with another toughie in OU, but at home. Two aways followed by two homes
-Follow up that big game with another breather @arkansas before the bye week. I like having a road game before the bye...road SEC games are tough so having a guaranteed rest week after one is preferred.
-I don't love oxford the week after UF in general. The only reason I went wtih this is because if I flip flopped them and missouri we'd have a major game at ole miss the week before tech. In general I like having an "easier" game the week before tech, and espcially if it's at home.
-Love preserving the traditional mid-november slot for UA
-get a home game in mizzou before tech

Now watch...since that's what I would like I'm sure the ACTUAL reval tongiht will be the exact polar opposite.

Given the coaching changes and graduation numbers this doesn’t look terrible. OK, Bama and Mizzou appear to be our toughest games and two of those are home.

Vandy turns over a ton of talent and will have a true freshman (a-hole) QB, I expect OM to be in tatters and the rest are going to be 1st year coaching staffs….except for USCe but c’mon…..

Why are we playing Bama 3 years in a row? 24-26 in the regular season is dumb.

Granted, I welcome the opportunity to even the record with DeBoer.

Adding the new teams fricked up the schedules. I don't like it either. They will come back to Athens in 2028

Each time they've expanded the league they frick up the schedule royally. They did the same with us going to Auburn 2 years straight when A&M and the Fighting Carpetbaggers of CoMo joined in 2013.

We weren't even supposed to be away for the Prayer at Jordan-Hare.

Wasn’t it Auburn that complained to the SEC about having to play Bama and UGA in back to back weeks? Then those goober smoochers (the SEC) have turned around and given us those games in back to back weeks not to mention seven straight weeks before an open date then UF and Ole Piss back to back.

For a team that has to play 3 teams in this year's CFP and 2 of them on the road, this scheduule is great. Missouri usually peaks earlier and fades later in the season, so that's good. Screwy things can happen in the first road game of the season, but we get Arkansas.

Only have to leave the state once before October 10th and twice before November 7. All 5s on the survey.

Florida game in Atlanta is going to be weird as frick, why it's not just a home and home confuses me but it's probably money related

Why are we suddenly playing Alabama and Ole Miss every year? This is stupid.

Thank God they moved the SC game to late in the year. No one wants to go to Columbia, aka Hades, in September or even October.

agreed. With a 9 game SEC schedule tehre will never be an "easy" one but I'm pleased overall with how this sets up.

-2 gimmes out of the gates to shake off the rust (I suppose in a perfect world maybe we'd save one of those til November, but that's nitpicky)
-Open conference play on the road against a scrub
-Follow that up with a tough home game, followed by an easy home game. So far so good.
-Then the toughest test on the road. Followed by a home game against a team wiht a new staff, followed by a break.
-Florida in our state wiht a new staff should be no trouble, followed by another tough road game
-That's followed up with an "easier" home game, then an "easy" road game, before tech at home.

Really the @bama/AU and UF/@OM games are the only back-to-backs we have against pretty tough competition. Hard to really ask for much more.

I’m trying not to fall into the trap of seeing 2025 version of these teams on the schedule.

We got 2 games at venues we have most recently lost in. (bama, OM)

Florida and Auburn almost have to be on the rise…? Right?

I agree with the timing thing. Would much rather play South Carolina and Mizzou later. I think you swap Arkansas and SC it does at least appear a little tougher.
