Damn. Tech only got a short stint before a new daddy gets inserted

This feels like a lot of blind optimism from second hand Big 12 sources. No way Notre Dame doesn’t join the Big 10.

B1G doesn't want them, either. ND has turned them down before.

This literally makes no sense

The SEC must be out for reasons on their side, I doubt Sankey would reject them.

They should have joined a conference years ago…nobody wants them now.

The Big 12 would roll the red carpet out for Notre Dame

It’s the only option if they want leverage

They wouldn’t touch the SEC with a 10 foot pole because they’d be exposed; you know they’ll go with one of the 2 weak power 4 conferences.

Notre Dame deserves criticism, but they're smart to avoid overly deep conferences.
A Big 12 move would actually be a sage decision for them. They're grinning looking at the void Oklahoma and Texas left behind.

This would not be for football, but for non revenue sports.
A great deal of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Unless ND puts football on the table, it means not much.

You sure the Big10 doesn't want them? Because they've been trying to add ND for at least 50 years.
I think more likely ND doesn't want to play in a tough conference and they recognize the Big12 as the conference being treated as a power conference, despite being G5 quality.
Because that's the way ND rolls.

Any conference would. Like them or hate them, they are a known name and household brand

Notre Dame finally got in the AAU, that was critical for making the B1G work. That move makes all the sense in the world.
No way ND goes Big 12. They don't have any of their traditional rivals and are filled with schools with low ratings and national interest. If you think ND wants to be playing 9 games against the likes of Kansas State, Baylor, and Oklahoma State you don't understand the big game. ND provides huge value to the Big 12 but they would basically be subsidizing the league and losing their independence and control. That would be an epic disaster for ND.
The SEC doesn't fit culturally for ND but they are a hell of a lot better fit than the Big 12.

That will get Notre Dame an auto bid almost every year.

You do know that Big 12 is the best basketball conference, by far, right?

Nebraska says hi. They were kicked out of the AAU in 2011.
