Embarrassed by a bad FSU team.
Beat Georgia. Roll damn Tide.
Beat a crippled, bad LSU.
Lose at home to OU.
Struggle vs bad Auburn team.
Get absolutely skullfricked on national tv in front of the entire world less than 24 hrs prior to CFP selection show.

The SEC has become watered down. Vandy, Ole Miss and A&M, perennial bottom dewellers all lost two games or less. The expansion and SEC being top heavy means many SEC schedules are ripe for 10-2 or 11-1 seasons.
Bama and Oklahoma are both bad teams right now. The winner will get exposed (in Bama’s case — again) by Indiana. But if Notre Dame cannot easily make a 10 team playoff they have nobody to blame but themselves.

Everyone struggled against Auburn this year. They played the 8th toughest schedule and all their losses were like 7 points or less, with Georgia winning by 10.
Alabama had the 2nd largest MoV against Auburn all year, and we played them @ JHS. A&M beat them only by 6 @ home.
They are rated #25 in F+ and are perhaps the biggest underachievers of the year.

Say what you want, but there's no data that would make anyone think Notre Dame will get their **** kicked in in the playoff.
Not so with Miami and Bama.

This was us last year.
This year, we're barely SMU.

"navy" yells a lot but never seems to have a compelling argument to backup the yelling.

I tend to agree. I think they would wipe the floor with Georgia for a second year in a row.

I don't know why everyone is so hyper focused on Alabama making it. I personally may or may not have put us in the playoffs based on how we played down the stretch but I can tell you who I definitely wouldn't have had in the playoff: Tulane and James Madison.
The inclusion of those two schools should have people more up in arms than Alabama. They robbed two legitimately worthy teams (whether they be Notre Dame, BYU, or Vanderbilt) from getting into the CFP.

SEC tried to expand the playoffs and people blocked it. Blame them. It took someone like ND being cock-blocked for people to pay attention to a broken system.

So did Georgia, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma
Anybody saying that should keep these teams out of the playoffs?
