There are a bunch of other SEC teams in the field and at the end of the day you'd be among them if you had just beaten FSU. Nobody is burning anything down

Bama is a legacy, traditional power and I think CFB is more interesting from a national perspective when they are good.
But CFB is perfectly healthy on its own and will survive just fine in any given year(s) without Bama as a playoff participant.

Could Alabama decline the SECCG qualification?
Bama should decline it, since a win wouldn't put it top4 but a loss leaves it out of CFP
