Is there a player in recent history more valuable to their team than Pavia?

Take Pavia away from Vandy and they're likely 6-6

Put any other Heisman candidate on Vandy in Pavia's place and they're still a 6-6 team

If he doesn't win the Heisman it will be criminal

Agreed - he’s the RG3 of this decade. By far most deserving of the Heisman

The only reason Brian Kelly had a job as long as he did was Jayden Daniels. LSU wins 7 games without him.

Yeah.... that's "recent" for sure.

Johnny Manziel. Imagine how good Texas would have been if they had recruited him.

Joe Burrow?

Or does that not count as "recent"?

No and he clearly should win the heismen just because he did it at Vanderbilt.

That’s a pretty idiotic take, any number of players over the last several years would have a huge impact on their teams if taken off of them: Tua, JB, Fields, Jalen Hurts, etc.

As unlikeable and sleazy as $Cam was, he didn't just carry that Auburn team, he carried them all the way.

Disagree.

Pavia is a great player that sparks Vandy's engine and a bona fide Heisman contender, but let's be honest. First, this is not your typical hapless Vandy team. They have upgraded the talent and resources across the board. Second, there are plenty of talented QBs who could excel in this offense.

Look, I don’t care for his pompous arse - but he backs it up with his play. He made it through the full SEC schedule playing his arse off and giving it everything he had. Run 15 yards and slide like a little bitch…not Pavia. Head first into every play.

Agree with you that this is not a normal Vandy team, but without him…they are not 10-2.

They belong in the playoffs.

Haynes King is in that same mix this season. GT may have won 3-4 without him

When you’re my age recent is more like that last decade or 2.
