If it's Nix I will disintegrate.

Probably no one exciting based on how much KC has been whiffing recently.

Would like to see us make a run at Billy Gonzalez as WR coach - Sumrall is not retaining him at Florida.

Why are we against Nix? He recruited my brother, seems like a nice enough guy.

Did you see Auburn's offense this season?

I would blame that more on Hugh Freeze and Jackson Arnold than coaching. It’s no secret that he didn’t have full playcalling ability until Hugh was gone. It’s why Lane was being so petty to Auburn post Nix leaving.

ETA: I don’t want him as OC. If he’s being considered for OC, then I’m not on board.

What were Nix’s coaching failures? You could point to a shitty o-line with Luke. I am genuinely unaware of what Nix did wrong and by all accounts, he’s at least a decent recruiter.

Because I feel like digging up the old guard is not only taking steps backwards but is also lazy.

He's a decent recruiter. What do you mean by that? His recruits are decent? So, the team is decent? Because decent in my mind is a consistent 8-4. Well, if that's what we're aspiring to, let me know so I can set my expectations to same old Ole Miss, mid-level, steppingstone, football school just like they all call us on the main board. And in turn that will be about the level of retort I'll give when they kick our dick's in. I mean if all we're going to be is mid as frick, it'll honestly be a relief because my expectations will be dramatically lowered and I'll give that much less of a shite, because why should I? Nobody else does.

We can call Lane whatever, but I've said this before, and I will continue to say it despite all the man's short comings; he's got an eye for talent, and he can see potential where others cannot. Is he an anomaly? I don't think so. I'll save my opinion on Golding because there's just too many moving parts right now. But it'll be telling when the adrenaline wears off and he's got to go out and put together our offensive coaching staff. And let's see what he does with the portal and who he's able to keep from entering it.

I couldn't have worded this any better myself.

Meh, he wasn't that great of a recruiter. I think the biggest key was his ability to get all of these guys to work together as a team instead of being selfish, which is quite ironic.

But Lane's recruiting left a lot to be desired.
