Than leave for the Dolphins? Yea, he's said that 100 times.
He also says he learned stuff in his failures in the NFL that directly led to him being a better coach once he came back to college and that if he'd just stayed at LSU he would not have had the success he had at Alabama.
He was a better, more consistent and less volatile coach at Alabama than he was at LSU. It isn't even debatable.

I've seen videos of drunk ex-girlfriends screaming into their phones about how much worse off their ex-boyfriends are with their new girls that were less cringey than how LSU fans keep going back to this well.

He was our coach for 14 years. We've heard him discuss the Dolphins move, his career trajectory, the changes in his philosophies from MSU to LSU to the NFL to Alabama, the changes in his demeanor pre-grandkids and post-grandkids, etc. 100x before. None of this is new to us.
Any evaluation of Saban's career that says he could have done "better" elsewhere is clearly laughable and stupid, regardless of who says it.
