If he wins the NC, he should retire and be known as Pete Goating. 100% win rate against ranked teams, never lost a game as a HC and won a NC in 100% of his seasons.

It's all downhill after that.

Insert your own team for Bama, and outside of MSU and LSU, pretty universal feeling.

LSU would have to pay Lane a bunch of money for it. Don't they have to pay him whatever Ole Miss would've paid him for each win?

Not true, they have actually both coached in playoff games before, but just not as head coaches. Congrats to Pete Golding riding Kiffin’s coattails
