If you went to an SEC school, how many football championships did you get to see during your college career?

At Bama, I cheated and went an extra semester, but caught 3 national championships in 4.5 years with 2 SEC championships in there as well.

1 - 2001 LSU

Best part was Auburn game was delayed due to 911 and their fans were selling championship game tickets after the game.

Those were the good old days when we hated Auburn

Now we don't even play those crazy animals

I cheated and went 6 years. ...swore I wouldn't graduate until we beat Tennessee.

I saw one SEC champ and a lot of bad football around that.

One. I finished in 2011, so I caught the 2009 title and the tornado in April just before graduation.

Football: Two SEC titles and a national championship.
Men’s Basketball: Two Sec East titles and a sweet sixteen
Womens Basketball: Three SEC titles and two national championships.
Baseball: One Sec East title

I got lucky to see a lot while I was there

I was at UGA for Ray Goffs first years, so didn't get to see many wins. My daughter lucked out and saw 2 championship teams during her time at UGA. I took her to LA to see them win the second one when she was a senior.

So you took fewer classes just to be there during fb season?

None. But I got to meet Vince Dooly when I arrived on campus in 1964. His first year as HC at Georgia was my freshman year. As an alumnus, I was in New Orleans when we won the 1980 NC beating Notre Dame, attended the 2021 NC when we beat Alabama, and the 2022 game when we beat TCU. So, I've seen 3 in person.

I don’t remember exactly how it played out but my last classes were not offered in the spring and summer I believe.

The extra football season certainly didn’t hurt my feelings.

Ended up going to Miss State for graduate school and caught the Dak years. I’ll never forget an old timer State fan crying happy tears in the Junction after beating Auburn to move to #1. “Can you believe it? You ever think we’d see the day that our Bulldogs are #1?”

Didn’t have the heart to tell him I just graduated from Bama. State fans were pure as they come though. It was fun to be there during that time.

Nothing will ever beat seeing Bama vs. Texas both undefeated in the BCS Championship at the Rose Bowl. I remember taking it all in and thinking “you only get to see this once…maybe twice. Championships don’t come around often in CFB.” Silly me.

0 - Shula/early Saban years. I did a victory lap in 2008 to hopefully get one, but just fell short.

Got ya. I knew a person who only needed 1 class to graduate, but it was only offered 1X/year.

I, personally, don’t see how that type of setup is allowed.
