Vanderbilt lost its two hardest games of the season, on the road to Texas and to Alabama, to end the season 10-2. Yet they won’t make the playoffs.

This implies that Vandy would have had to go 11-1 to make the CFP.

Does that make sense to you? A 10-2 sec team, with a heisman finalist qb, who only lost at Bama and at Texas, won’t make the playoffs? This may seem whiny, but com’on. The only reason we are in this position as compared to others is because we weren’t ranked, or even close to being ranked, in the preseason.

And it’s Vandy… our lovable loser for decades. If any team ever deserves some love, it’s this team.

As a Vandy fan, I ask that everyone start tweeting about us to make our case.

it is bullshite. No team would want to see Pavia in the playoffs.

Instead we'll get Tulane and JMU or some shite.

Bama and Texas were the games you needed to split....

Based on resume’, they should be over ND.

Vandy played a ridiculously easy SEC schedule. Your best win is Missouri and that’s not saying a lot. UT was meh this year and was your second best win.

Vandy didn’t do anything to impress anyone this season

A 10-2 sec team

Best 3 wins:
8-4 Mizzou (missing their QB)
8-4 Tennessee (0 bowl eligible wins)
7-5 LSU (no offense)

Yes, you need 11 wins to guaranteed get in with that schedule and resume. If you had beat Bama or Texas and dropped say the Mizzou game, you may have been in the playoffs

Reality is Vandy likely didn’t beat a single team that will be ranked. Maybe Mizzou is in the final CFP rankings.

Vandy is the only team I’d compromise on missing the playoffs for, maybe Bama too. Y’all have been on similar grinds to us.

Sorry, you should have scheduled powerhouses Purdue, Syracuse, Boston College...then the committee would think 10-2 is in

Vandy has the worst resume of anyone in the top 15. Everyone else has at least 1 current ranked win and better losses

It's some bullshite.

I was convinced that a 10-2 SEC team would never be left out of the playoffs. But shite happens sometimes, I guess.

It's a 12 team playoff not a 16 team playoff.

Sorry, somebody's gotta be left out.

There is an argument to be made.

Better strength of schedule. Full boat of coaches from the regular season.
And Pavia is special.

But in all seriousness, I think the SEC gets six teams in. Texas will not be one of the six.

Notre Dame's 3 best wins:
9-3 USC
7-4 Pitt
9-2 Navy

Vandy also played South Carolina when they were #10 and unbeaten
Auburn has a great defense
LSU has very good defense

The grind of SEC vs ND schedule is not comparable

The SEC likely gets five. If you get six, then the committee will match up SEC teams in the first round. So you’re down to five anyways, if the others win.
