This is a coach that got left on the tarmac by USCw and the Raiders wouldn't piss on if he was on fire, he wasn't at UT long enough because he snuck out the back door, and tried to strong arm Ole Miss.

Some of us tried to warn you a couple of weeks ago what would happen if we actually did get a good coach. The majority of the board went on and on about how fricked we were and here we go out and do everything they said that we couldn't.

I still remember LSU fans laughing at Saban for hiring Kiffin as offensive coordinator at Bama. Now their panties are soaking wet that he is their head coach. Love it

I am enjoying that so many threads are aimed at 'Bama fans for some reason.
We won't even play LSU every year going forward. Plus we already had the chance to hire this dude and he wasn't even considered. Makes it even more hilarious that a lot of them think getting Lane is some sort of "lol, gotchu bama"

Why anyone still thinks this is still relevant in the year 2025 is beyond me.
He spent 6 years at Ole Miss. Saban took him under his wings in 2014 (11 years ago!) and Lane has been a far more effective coach ever since.
Is he likely to stay anywhere long? No. He'll probably bolt again to the NFL. But not one person in Baton Rouge will care if he brings home a natty or two in the interim.
