OM kept Lane hanging, giving him false hope that he would be able to coach his team to the end of the season…..all to make sure he would coach the Egg Bowl.
OM knew they HAD to win that game in order to qualify for the CFP, and there was no way they were going to trust Frodo to get it done.
OM could have cut Lane loose prior to the Egg Bowl. They used Lane to get what they wanted.

Playing Lane as a victim shows how soft LSU has become

It’s wild. They got the guy they wanted but they still can’t handle it.

It’s pathetic
They, along with the entire football world has known Lane was a no integrity childish brat for almost 2 decades now. But now Louisiana State fans want us all to pretend that Lane was being reasonable by wanting to be the HC at 2 schools at once

He’s being sarcastic guys.
It’s mildly funny, actually.

I’m starting to be concerned about the intelligence of the response posts if they feel this was a legit melt thread.

They wanted to have to pay him a buyout when he was already leaving?

But the OM AD told us on Black Friday that he wasn’t aware Lane was leaving.

Well, that is quite the whitewashing of history.
Jimmy Sexton has somehow convinced you that Lane is the victim - haha. None of this happens without Kiffin. Kiffin was dragging things out because he claims he wanted to do both. We knew weeks ago Ole Miss wasn’t letting him coach in the playoffs if he left (and rightfully so). Lane proved at Bama he couldn’t do both and was fired by Saban.
Lane was stringing everyone along. He probably really did want to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs. Now name another P4 coach that went to another team and continued to coach his former team.
Why LSU fans are believing this, I have no idea.
