We've owed you after the 2019 molestation and 2003 natty.

Would love nothing more. Lived in BR for a few years, attended a few semesters at LSU.. loved my time there, ran out of $ but planned to move back for good.. (glad I didn't)
Seeing LSU's road uni's on OU's home turf was something I've wanted for decades. LSU as a permanent would be awesome but I don't see how it would work, since you already have 3 permanents... is Arkansas really a permanent rival?

Apparently you stole some land from the Indians once. I’m trying.

Not quite.
The land that was stolen from the tribes occurred back east and down south.
The tribes were forced to move to Oklahoma Territory. Then some people from back east came in and stole that land from them (see the movie Killers of the Flower Moon for details).
"Sooners" refers to the people who jumped the gun on the land run. The land run was for "unassigned" territory that had not been given to any of the tribes. There were some natives living there, but it was not very desirable territory.
Some people snuck into the "unassigned" territory and staked claims before the official start of the land run. We proudly refer to ourselves as Land Thieves and / or Dirt Burglars.
That is your Oklahoma history lesson for today.

I was all in favor of making LSU our "rivalry week" permanent opponent, but the SEC powers that be decided that Ole Piss should be instead.
They already have a rivalry week opponent, so we'll be playing Ole Piss on some random meaningless weekend.

I thought Lane actually did a decent job of trying to work up Ole Miss v OU but nobody really bought it because it was Ole Miss, and that’s no disrespect, they kicked our arse. It will be much easier to get fired up for OU v LSU.

If you want to talk history let's review how all those Indians came to be in Oklahoma in the first place because it sure as hell wasn't where they were living a scant 50 years before.
A fellow by the name of Andrew Jackson directed the U.S. Army to escort them from their native land (the East Coast and the Southern U.S.) to an unsettled area surrounded by Kansas, Arkansas and Texas.
Their land was stolen long before they ever laid eyes on what became the state of Oklahoma.

I'm good with this. Would prefer you and Bama over Mizery and OM, even those 2 are probably more wins than losses for us in the future. We don't like doing the easy things

Nah, would rather have 'Bama. They have class. Something lsu lacks.
Also 'Bama is in our class as a blueblood. I think 'Bama - OU would be much like OU- Nebraska. Hard hitting , but with respect and class.

True, hard to call someone a rival when you’ve never beaten them
You’ll love us even more when we BTA three more times in a row!

Leave our rival who we love alone
