Amidst all the coaching drama...

How about a shout out to the SEC newbies.
Texas: 22-6 since joining, including 13-3 overall in conference with notable wins over A&M, OU, Vandy, championship game appearance, and CFB semifinal appearance...haven't been able to get over the hump vs. UGA going 0-3, and haven't played Bama or Tenn, but right in the mix from the start.
OU: 16-9 since joining, 8-8 in conference...but 6-2 in conference this year including wins over BAMA, TENN, Michigan, MIZ, LSU in year two and a shoe in for the playoff. Has not faced UGA through two seasons, but on the schedule for 2026. Year one everyone wants to forget, but helluva bounce back in year two.
I think it goes without saying, but there are about 12 other programs that gladly take this over the course of two years. Congrats.

Thread isn't about Mizzou, but it isn't good enough. The thread is about giving credit where credit is due to the newest members of our conference.

I thought OU was going to be really good but not quite good enough to get into the playoffs but I'm actually kind of glad they made it at LSUs expense (most recently).
