Even letting him do an interim in the playoffs? Am I hearing this right? Are you freaking kidding me?

They should’ve learned from State’s emotional hiring of Arnette that it ain’t the best idea.

Who else would they go after at this point? They hand playoffs to prepare for.

Difference being Pete is a good coach who will win games. Two things not true of Arnette.

Plus it's super hard to win in Starkville. Lebby is a good coach and he can't win there.

You’re about to learn, as your roster gets raided, that it’s hard to win in Oxford too.

It was clearly an effort to keep a coach for the playoffs.

And it's these kind of dumbass comments as to why old miss fans are stuck with Pete fricking Golding now as your HC.

You limp wrists don't know ball. It's why Kiffin was bigger than the program and it's why he left.

I think youre right of course. We've literally won 8 times as many SEC games over the past four years as you have.

They should have at least interviewed Mike Bobo. His son is going to the NFL after this season and has no reason to stick around Athens with all the fan hate.

I think they had him there for EXACTLY this reason, history told them Kiffin was going to leave, they went out and got the guy they wanted to step up.

Sure thing sugar tits, it's everyone else melting and shuttling Connie Jean to the airport in your sweatpants to flip off the coach who's bigger than your entire fanbase and program.

Clown program who botched this whole thing - first and foremost by signing up for it, secondly by being shocked you got your dose of reality check, and third by running him out of town instead of letting him coach to the end.

Stop the projection

Good luck with *checks notes* Pete Golding

How'd your offense do against him --- checks notes -- two days ago?

Talk to our, according to you, "great" head coach and offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby. I watched it from the suite, we don't call plays.

You pussies are melting over something you signed up for. Get over it. You knew this was coming. It's coming for LSU too if he's successful, and it'll be a nasty break up even if he is successful, because no coach gets out of there alive.

Thank him for what he gave you. You're not going to keep humming along with Pete Golding (or most other current coaches) like it's no big deal. You're being an average, delusional ole miss fan if you think otherwise. Say what you will about Kiffin, but for a little while he elevated you and the ole miss fanbase to a level of delusion to where even the most weathered and ragged fans forgot your place in the pecking order.

The ship has left port and you're stuck in the tourist section of a 3rd world dictatorship. It is what it is. It's why grown adult men shouldn't be getting too fired up, let alone actually "melting, " about sports: it's out of your hands, and it doesn't matter regardless.
