Did LSU not want a head coach who is committed to winning championships?

The one they just hired apparently is not. He just proved it by abandoning a team that is on a championship run simply for more money.

He’s not making more by coming to LSU, but good try.

Lane fought to keep coaching Ole Miss through the playoffs.
But you knew that anyway and still started this thread.
Melt.

Moving jobs is one thing but on the eve of the playoffs is a douchebag move. Like them or not, the players just got screwed after putting together a nice season.

He could have easily done that, but he chose not to. He chose to walk away.

As many at HC as Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin’s base salary is $9 million per season at Ole Miss with additional performance bonuses. Obviously he will not get the bonuses for coaching in or winning a CFP game.
Lane Kiffin’s base salary will be $12 million per season at LSU with additional performance bonuses.
$12 million > $9 million

Many LSU fans are a lot like pigeons.

Well, I hope none of us have to make such an important career decision in our lives. It would be hard. I feel bad for his team but not the fans. We are here just to be entertained.

And Ole Miss matched or exceeded LSU’s offer. He was getting a raise if he stayed at Ole Miss.
