The mark of a great head coach is adapting to meet the circumstances, not trying to excuse away failure. By leaving a guaranteed CFP spot in favor of a possible future playoff spot, Kiffin exposes his own self doubts in his coaching ability. They used to say that Coach Bear Bryant could “ take his’n and beat your’n and take your’n and beat his’n.” By this standard, Lane Kiffin shows how weak and unworthy he is of this title.

Not all playoff spots are created equal. I know it sucks, but you can see his point. At least any reasonable thinking person should be able to see it.

I see a chickensh!7 making excuses… “the mean old AD won’t let me gut the roster and sabotage the program while I trash the playoff appearance of a program that took me in and fed me tremendous resources to get me to this stage.

Lane Kiffin doesn’t believe in himself. Curt Cignetti believes in Indiana and himself. Clark Lea believes in Vandy and himself. I predict another 3 and done with LK at LSU. Hopefully y’all figure out the buyout better than yall did with BK.
