Lane Kiffin wants to go coach at LSU. Okay that’s fine. Disappointing, but I understand. But he still wants to coach more games at Ole Miss? So he wants Ole Miss to allow the head coach at LSU to coach an Ole Miss football team? And we’re the bad guys for not allowing that to happen? The idea itself is utter insanity. Lane is incapable of leaving anywhere without destruction. Oh but I’m sure it won’t happen at LSU. It’ll be different there****

No serious person thinks that. Ole Miss played this a little too publicly, but otherwise there was nothing OM could have done here besides what they did, which is say either commit or GTFO.

Lane wants to go on a playoff run with Ole Miss so he goes out a hero there and then go to LSU. But he should be smart enough to know that ideal scenario just isnt possible

Jon Sumrall just accepted the Florida job and Tulane is allowing him to coach in the Conference Championship game, and Playoffs, if Tulane makes it.
It’s a choice.

I get why Kiffin would want to stay to coach Ole Miss through the playoffs. It’s a team he built with players he has coached and developed. And completely understandable why Ole Miss would say no to allowing him to coach them while recruiting and hiring staff for another team.
But this is the internet and dumb people need to imagine there are bad people for every bed time story that get their “comeuppance” so they can sleep tight with their little blankies at night
