How did the Oklahoma Sooners go 10-2 in the most dominate conference known to the Gods of College Football with 1 anemic arm tied behind it's back (our retarded offense) and 1 punch drunk boxer arm (our defense)?

I was told we were the "next Nebraska"?

I was told we would crumble in the SEC?

What's the collective conference' excuse for letting "Nebraska 2.0" go 10-2 in the most dominate cfb conferences in history?

Give me y'alls best excuses below.

(In all fairness, this is by far not the best OU team I've ever seen, not even in the top 25 best OU teams in my book, but we're winning.)

Really stinking good defense and an offense that’s serviceable.

Reasonable assessment.

The best Stoops teams were top notch at OU. Unfortunately that was during a time when the SEC was an absolute boiler room of a conference

I dont think anyone here really cares enough about Oklahoma to even think about it all that much.

The SEC has always been defensive focused, and OU’s D is elite, kept yall in a ton of close games and ready to pounce when mistakes inevitably came. Good luck in the playoffs OU brethren.

You should just hope the committee didn’t closely watch that abortion of a football game yesterday. That was as poor an example of offensive football as I’ve seen from two teams. The fact that Miami or ND will be left out of the playoff for Oklahoma is really bad.

And yet.. You won't even be playing for a conference championship... Curious.

Look up 2025 OU’s turnover margin.

Then Google turnover regression

I’d bet the under on 2026 OU wins

Does that "just mean more" than a shot at the Natty (to be fair, I don't think we'll win it.)

A win is a win, unless you're Notre Shame, then its a win and a "quality loss".

Look at the quality of games this year in CFB. There is no dominant team that is unstoppable in the SEC. One could say Bama or UGA, but they aren’t bulletproof. 2009-2021 showed the top teams in the SEC were on another level.

Except maybe Bama 2014, they had some weakness on defense. But during 2014- 2021 or ‘22 if you want to go to that season, only Clemson (2) and OSU would win titles from outside the conference. Those SEC teams were top of the food chain

I'd argue there are no bullet proof teams in any conference.
