I’ll be curious to see if Lane will still heavily rely on the portal or he’ll shift his priority to recruiting HS kids. Love them or hate them, there are a crap load of really good players in the state of LA every year who seem to lean towards LSU even before LSU starts recruiting them.

Kiffin has never been a good recruiter. Louisiana, and the loyalty of great in-state players, would be a gift.

He’s going to be very successful at LSU. Be careful what you wish for..

You sure about that? Those USC teams under Pete Carroll were loaded. Also the Bama teams when Lane was OC. Pretty sure he pulled his weight. Saban wasn't known for hiring assistants who couldn't recruit.

You can look at his all-time recruit list on 247.

Lane didn’t do the heavy lifting himself at USC. Orgeron is the recruiter. It will be interesting to see if he is re-hired by LSU after getting fired just a few years ago.

He won't last four seasons there and their fans will turn on him quick. He would fare much better at UF where they'll welcome 9-3 or 10-2 seasons at this point.
