LK gives whomever hires him a better chance at success than any other “available” option.

That said he’s still a risk and a very expensive one. But if I’m a fan of a school who needs a coach, what the hell do I care about that?

Only 3 coaches arent "available." Smart, Day and maybe DeBoer.

But, yes, he is a risk. Im not as impressed as other LSU fans.

Lots are unavailable this year. Record year for extensions to avoid this mess

Lanning, Elko probably quite a few others.

Yep, and that's basically all there is to it.

He isn't some can't miss option. He isn't some end all, be all.

Based on what data?

He’s done well in a short time at Ole Miss, but not elite.

He was tarmacked at USC.

He was fired by Oakland.

He won at FAU. Whoop.

Seriously. He is good, but I just don’t see any kind of “head shoulders” argument over some up and comers.

I’d put Lanning solidly on the list. He’s been real outspoken he’s not leaving Oregon and they have Nike’s eff you money to back it.

It’s fricking Ole Miss. He’s had more 10 win season at Ole Miss (4) than anyone ever.

If he had same results at TAMU y’all would be paying him 13 million a year.

Penn State already offered him their job which is why A&M went public with his extension. This is well known, just like the fact A&M hasn’t played anyone this year. Or some other nonsense

That stat get thrown around like it’s some sort of definitive marker.

Teams play 2-3 more games per year now than they did not that long ago. Most of college football history, the schedule was 10 games and much fewer bowl games.

“Gee, we have lots of 10-win seasons now, and never had them before 90’s.”

Want a better metric? Count the “X-loss” seasons.

He is exciting for LSU bc they get elite athletes but not always good qb play. Kiffin seems to always get a lot out of his qbs.
