Texas A&M is a joke of a football program that has squandered a significant amount of resources with nothing to show for it, but at least when they agreed to the stupid, one-sided contract with Jimbo he was at least a national championship winning coach.
LSU is about to pay 13 million a year for a guy that has never won a natty, never played in the playoff, never won an SEC Championship, and never played in the SECCG.
Not only that, LSU still has to pay BK. The important takeaway from all of this is that you should never take financial advice from an LSU grad.

Kirby wasn't hired at a higher salary than coaches with trophies.
He was hired at $3.75M in his initial contract.
