So is Arnold just an uncoachable douche? Someone told me he was and this kind of backs it up IMO

Let’s hope the young lad was simply excited during his first showing.

Could be that Deuce has shown potential and they’re more focused on developing and retaining him than Arnold

Big brain Durkin trying to show a promising young QB he can retain on the roster to the fans and brass

I think Arnold is done unless Deuce just falls on his face and throws up on himself.

Here’s the question. What if Deuce absolutely shows out? I mean just kills it?

I would think it’s still Ashton for the IB considering level of competition Deuce faced, but considering the short time Ashton has had as starter this year, I would for sure have Deuce ready to go and swap out at any sign of trouble.

Doesnt burn a redshirt

If deuce is the best option, we will see if Mercer makes things close in the 2nd half at all.

Rests starters, boosts Deuce's moral, gets fans interested.

Biggest risk is if Duece comes out and doesnt play well and the game gets tricky and hes got to be pulled.

There is absolutely nothing Deuce could show against Mercer that would make me think he is more Bama ready than Ashton. Seriously 400 passing yards, 150 rushing yards, 3 truck sticks, 2 hurdles. IDGAF.

Pulling for him but he can't prove he is ready in this game.

My one reservation about him starting is what if he plays badly? Can we turn to Arnold at that point to bail us out?

Sumrall said to start the young man so he can see what he’s working with next year

It’s time to drop the Deuce on Mercer!

I agree, but if he does show out, it would make me feel better knowing we at least have someone somewhat competent in case Ashton gets in big trouble in IB.

Don’t forget his play caller at the time was a nimwit

That didn't cause him to drop the ball twice and nearly thrown an interception in his first few plays. Hope he does well but good grief how humiliating would it be if doesn't and we lose to freaking Mercer?

That is not as crucial concerning his performance.

Freeze could call trash, but It is up to Deuce to do his part right.

All I’ll say is this…When Daniels was prepared by Freeze he looked like completely discombobulated, after Freeze left he looked like an All-SEC QB vs a Top 25 team in the road.
