We are currently +3.5. Hopefully we get Bristow back for this one and big Z’s brother doesn’t play for them. I made this thread for St. Johns and we won so let’s do that again

Man that's a late arse tip. Getting too old for the late weeknights.
But, RTR - time for a bounce back.

This one is going to be interesting. They're taking on average 32 3-pointers per game and averaging 15.5 offensive rebounds per game.
Rebounding will determine who wins this game IMO. If we board like we did against St. John's I like our chances. If we don't, they'll be tough to beat. Sherell and Williamson have to man up.
Last year they had 13 offensive boards against us to our 5, and shot 24 free throws to our 13, but we limited turnovers and Philon and Nelson stepped up. That was the game Sears famously didn't score.

Yep our ability to beat good teams will continue to come down to rebounding. I think we can score against anyone so offensively I’ll never be concerned and I think our first shot defense is adequate, but we can’t give teams 2nd and 3rd chances. It’s impossible to go on a run as we quickly figured out against Purdue.

The best Ivisic player is Tomi and he is a game time decision. This is Brad Underwood's most talented team he has had at Illinois. They are deep and they are very good. They currently have the 6th best odds to win it all this year.
This is going to be a very difficult game playing them in Chicago.

Try being on EST. Gonna be a late night here in Knoxville. Only positive is that the wife will be going to bed earlier in preparation for her 24-hour shift, so there will be less complaints about the game being on.

If y’all aren’t happy about this game time, don’t look at how late we play UNLV next week

Lot of sharps on Bama tonight

We have the better coach. They want to shoot a lot too so who can get hot.
They haven’t played anyone really good this year and haven’t played away from home. This game is in Chicago, but still not their place.

Will Collins Onyejiaka play tonight? Oats said something to the effect, the others are ready to go, but does that include Collins or is he more long term in regard to his condition (whatever that is)?

I wasn’t paying too close of attention in their game with TT the other night due to multitasking, but they looked pretty decent from what I could tell. This should be a tough battle but if it’s close at the end, hopefully the fact that we beat them last year becomes just a little bit of a mental edge (recognize their are a lot of new players).
Oats mentioned in the post game press conference after Purdue that he might should have played Hannah more given his toughness and rebounding. He’s one of the guys that should have been on the court on that crucial defensive possession from 1:16 to 48 seconds. Really hope Oats will use TOs and substitutions if it’s close late.
