Bama imploded with turnovers or its a 2 score win.
All the data shows that.
All the data shows that.

I'm really trying to make sense of this graph.

Too bad OU forcing turnovers, did in fact, happen.

If you’re the team on top on the left side where it goes negative, it means you outplayed your opponent but lost due to some combination of turnovers/explosives etc.
If you are the team on top where it’s positive, it means you outplayed your opponent and won the game. The more you outplay your opponent, the more your margin of victory should have been. So if you are like JMU and dominate most plays but barely win can analyze what “bad luck” you may have had.

OU deserved to win based on the turnovers that occurred.
But absent those turnovers OU gets handled.
Anyone who knows ball or can read the stats understands what happened.

I know defense and special teams are apart of the game, ball knower. I know that. OU dominated in 2 of the 3 phases. Stats mean shite compared to the scoreboard.

Did you even read the chart? OU beating Bama based off the game data was the least statistically probably outcome in all of CFB last week by a full order of magnitude.
Bama / OU
1st Downs: 23 / 12
Yards: 406 / 212
YPA: 7.8 / 6
Pass Yards: 326 / 126
Rush Yards: 80 / 74
Penalties: 3 / 5
TOP: 34 / 25
The point was and remains that it’s almost statistically impossible to win a game where you get dominated in every single relevant metric the way OU did.

I’d better not see any jibes about the A&M-SCar game because the turnover margin was +3 in the Gamecocks’ favor.

Offensively, you're telling only 1/3 of the story. Yes Bama dominated the offensive statistics. OU dominated everything else.

Lol. Why are you wasting your time against the keyboard warriors. We won. Let’s move on.

By what metric did OU dominate defensively?
Yards allowed? Bama 2:1
Rushing Yards Allowed: Bama 2:1
Passing Yards Allowed: Bama
First Downs: Bama almost 2:1
OU had three points that weren’t generated off a turnover in Bama territory. Your offense was lost the entire day because the Bama defense dominated them in every phase.
OU won because they got three turnovers and still needed what amounted to a missed extra point FG or you still would’ve lost.

Yeah...all that counts.
The record books won't say:
*Bama should have won but they imploded.
Tennessee was dominating Oklahoma. 2 interceptions, a fumble for a score (uncalled offsides on the same play), a few missed field goals. ALL OF THAT COUNTS.
When the gun went off, Oklahoma was ahead in the only place it counts. The scoreboard. That is all that counts.

No one was saying OU didn’t win.
The entire thread was discussing a chart showing how the game was a wild statistical anomaly. That was the OP.
A few OU fans didn’t like what it showed or can’t understand basic football statistics because they just want to say “scoreboard good, stats bad”.
It would’ve been interesting in a better setting to discuss how OU has now won two major road games that they were clearly were dominated in using turnovers but it’s pretty clear this isn’t a place for that.
Honestly it’s my mistake for trying to have a football conversation with what amounts to the Paul Finebaum audience.

I thought Phyllis from Mulga passed away, but here you are.
Statistics were posted and here comes some Bammer (YOU), with that, "Bama would won IF..."
Tennessee and Alabama both should have won. Mistakes killed them. There is nothing else to discuss.
By the way, I don't think a lot of people here watch Finebaum. I might have watched 15 minutes of his show the entire time he has been on the air.

You realize I was responding to someone else saying OU dominated statistically?
Then despite the stats being presented showing the reality they still tried to maintain they’d dominated defensively.

There’s actually plenty to discuss as it relates to that point as both teams are looking at an CFP berth, just not here apparently.

Based on the inability to read a graph or process basic statistics I’d say there’s significant overlap between the two audiences.

But, OU did not lose, Bammer did. Sucks to suck bro.
