Ty Simpson has a massive problem that isn’t going away . . .

Ty has done great things, but . . .
From Oklahoma’s players:
“The only thing that we really saw was that Ty Simpson was the highest fumble rate (while) getting sacked or something like that,” Sooner defensive back Peyton Bowen told reporters after the game. “I don’t know what the statistic is, but every time he gets sacked, he fumbles the most out of anybody in the country.”
From Coach:
“With the pressure that they brought, he’s gotta get rid of it and be OK with throwing it away,” DeBoer said. “You can only hold on so long, and I feel like with the blitz they had, you’re gonna get overwhelmed and outnumbered. And so, you just gotta understand the situation. I know it’s third down, and he wants to stay on the field, but you just gotta understand, your defense is playing pretty good too and you just gotta live with punting once in a while.”
I’m putting this loss at his feet. The overthrows, the Pick 6, and the massive fumble (again).
These guys are paid now - it ain’t all on the coaches anymore. The coaches in this game, more than any I’ve seen in a long time, put the team in a position to win - they didn’t execute.

Yep. It’s the truth. He can’t handle pressure at all. That’s why I think that the Auburn game will get ugly. I don’t know what the solution is though. We can’t bench Ty in favor of Keelon or Mack in our biggest rivalry game on the road.

This is stupid.
He got sacked several times yesterday and didn't fumble.
I'd like to see Peyton Bowen try to hold onto the ball with a 260 pound guy hitting him at full speed while winding up to throw it.

Bad game Yesterday but I still think he is very good. Yesterday was his first Milroe like implosion game of the season with multiple turnovers

Running game is only solution. Jam wont start vs Auburn

He was sacked 4 times and at least two of those were because he was holding the ball for too long.
He has fumbled in 5 straight games from sacks.
Skeletor keyed in on this so it's the reality. Skeletor also saw how for whatever reason Ty's accuracy on those intermediate passes has gone out the windows.
Even with all that Ty could have led the team to a game winning drive like Mendoza did last week (like he has done games ago) but he throws a ball into the dirt on 2nd down and throws the ball low and behind on 4th.

Ty has lost his Mojo these last three games BUT the biggest problem on this team is we don't have a F RB! None of them are elite. Hell, they're not even good.
If Bama had UGA's RB, things would be so MUCH better. The speed that the UGA RB has hitting the LOS is like the 78 speed on your 1960 record player vs the 45 speed.
Everything has to go thru #15 if Bama is the beat good teams and it has taken a toll on this offense.

Everyone will and people will ignorantly blame the OL for not being able to block more than their defense is bringing when the reality is Ty needs to make the right reads on his quick routes (not throw that slant that was a pick six) and he needs to develop a damn accurate deep ball to ensure safeties don't ignore deep and keep sitting on slants and intermediate routes.
People kept asking why we don't run slants.. well you can't when every defense has safeties sitting and not giving a damn about a ball going over their heads.

OK come up with a combination of offensive linemen and running backs from our locker room that is going to magically create an effective running game at this point in the season.

Daniel Hill was the leading rusher yesterday and almost outran Oklahoma's entire offense.
We didn't lose because we couldn't run the ball.
We lost because we couldn't protect the ball and we couldn't complete passes when we needed to

We aren’t fixing this run game but Ty can fix the strip sacks on his ledger but not much he can do about blindside sacks on immediate whiffs by his protection. DeBoer said it yesterday: he’s got to know when to fold em and play to his defense when they’re playing well.

Bama doesn't have an elite RB on the roster. If they did, he would be playing
Neither 4 nor 26 are getting it done with their blocking.
Zero speed. Plodders.

Exactly.
I mean Coach Saban would stress that every drive should end with a kick. A PAT, a FG, or a punt.

But people think it’s Grubb’s play calling why we can’t run. I was screaming at him yesterday, it wasn’t his best game and there were some inexplicable calls, but has anyone stopped to think that he might be doing the best he can to get by with a flawed personnel set that can’t be “coached up” … Lord, I despise that phrase … to do any better.

He played poorly against LSU as well. He is playing extremely poorly right now.

On the fumble, the RT tried to block the guy that caused the fumble but whiffed.

I've been saying ty hasn't played well starting with the Mizzou game

A small part of this guys is teams are adapting to what we do well and to what we don’t do well. I’ll be honest, the way Hill was able to beat out yards yesterday against a really good defense gives me hope against lesser defensive team we could actually do something. Hill needs to clean up blocking but let’s roll the dice and premier him.
