Georgia has been the team of the decade in college football, so in theory isn't being a Georgia football fan these days like being a kid at Disney World?

Disney Dawgs

Anyone that uses that term for people that support this team and the staff that has given us 2 nattys and a SECC in the last 4 years are morons.

Disney Dawgs wanted to keep a coaching staff that didn’t even get us to the SECCG - much less win it - 9 out of 10 years.

Does not apply here.

That felt very 21 Florida or 21 Arkansas in the 4th.

The cringiest and grossest part is how he declares that “we” are all now part of some club

As if oh well we used to all agree that this team was shite but now we are all unified that things are great because we won so lets eat our own boogers

I’m not allowed to hate, but i dislike this mother fricker thoroughly

That's an interesting distinction. Georgia won two SEC championships in Mark Richt's 15 years, which was two more than they won in the 18 years before he came along. Richt has the 2nd most wins of all UGA coaches at 145 and the 2nd highest winning percentage of all UGA coaches at 74% (not counting Stegeman's 3 seasons from 1920-22).

In Richt's last 10 years that you speak of (2006-2015), he didn't manage to win an SEC championship, but he did win 71.5% of his games, which is still one of the best 10 year runs in Georgia history. That was also a period when the SEC had probably the most dominating 10 year run in cfb history, winning 8 of 10 national championships by 4 different teams. In Richt's last 5 years, Georgia won 75% of its games, 10 games per year. Let's not be so petty to suggest he ran the program into the ground. Quite the opposite, he handed Kirby a top football program in the country.

If supporting Mark Richt, clearly the 2nd best coach in UGA history and the architect of the program that Kirby inherited, is the definition of a Disney Dawg, then count me in, because he's the 2nd best coach we've ever had. All in all, I think it has been an unprecendented 25 year run for the Disney Dawgs, and a miserable 25 year run for the NegaDawg trolls that spew their sad sack bile on these Georgia message boards.

Very convenient, and also wrong. Some of the folks that post here are drowning their sorrows tonight. Anybody as consistently vehemently negative about Georgia football and its supporters as some of these posters, is not a Georgia fan at all. Kirby's making them look like fools and they're getting very irritable.

Bro like half your post are about cash jones. He isn’t our greatest player but I think you might have Cash Derangement Syndrome if you can’t be happy after last nights win where he did contribute a big play on the onside kick. Not every player on our team is Branch or Stockton or Allen or Bolden and they play smaller roles but should be appreciated

Disney

The Disney Corporation via their ESPN leverage kept Georgia out of the 2024 playoff bracket.

Then we went on to boat race an undefeated Florida State who was also denied a slot.

Based on what I have heard here in Athens, Kirby thinks that a nine game conference schedule is simply too much.

And it all circles back to Disney greed.

You are correct and this was the root of the problem. The stats are correct HOWEVER they don’t reflect that the games we lost during that period were the ones we needed to win to be relevant in the post season or were against hapless teams (like SC) that kept us out of the national conversation. I liked Richt and he did elevate the program..but at the end of his tenure this was the debate. .

Which, to my point, is a world apart from earlier this season when those of us that didn’t want to shite on the team, coaches or players after every series were referred to as “Disney Dawgs”. You don’t have to be a football savant to see we were dealing with a lot of youth on this team. That’s a big difference from ignoring years of not being able to compete at the highest level.
