If I’m a coach with options, I would never coach at LSU or Auburn.

Seeing how these two schools have tried to fabricate stories to renege on their contracts is eye opening. These two universities are led by scumbags and they deserve to be irrelevant in football.

Yeah, I'm gonna turn down a gig that pays out generational wealth for a reason like that. You're a special kind of stupid. I wish I had majored in college football coaching.

Yeah, LSU currently trying to weasel out of a contract for that “generational wealth.”

I’m going to go off on a limb and say that this will help LSU and Auburn in the long run. It might prevent them from making big time splash hires and force them to bring in up-and-comers.
Going back at least 20 years, these up-and comers have been way more successful than the hand full of major big money hires. Just look at Jimbo at AM, Bert at AR, or BK at LSU. Bringing in the big guy simply doesn’t work anyway.

A coach with options could find another position where he is paid generational wealth and the administration treats him better. Clearly, you did not read my post closely.

A lot of schools just want to win the press conference.

Where? Only the Power conferences pay that kind of money. Who's gonna pay generational wealth salaries? Georgia Southern?

I’d rather coach at Florida, Penn State, or Arkansas over Auburn and LSU given how poorly Auburn and LSU have treated their coaches.

Standard attorney tactics to mitigate client loss... clever in theory, shameful in practice.

Good thing that you will never be offered the job! There are millions ($) of reasons why any coach would want to be at those schools. Plus a good coach knows that if he can get the situation under control and win, there will be huge financial rewards in the future.

Is it worth the stress though? I know it take special kind of person to be willing to put up with that kind of pressure from BMDs and angry fans. I don’t mind generational wealth but to have an entire state wanting to put my head on their pitchforks…eh.

Coaches that are worth a frick dont think like that. They think like they are the ones that are gonna come in and save the day.

Everything that was an asset to LSU they have now somehow turned into a liability. I've never seen a program flame out like this.
What makes them attractive now besides that they always have great in-state talent? Historically other programs have successfully poached that talent and there's not a loyalty to LSU among high school recruits like they think. It wasn't until Saban that they managed to keep talent in state. But NIL has erased that.
