In preseason, which posters were telling this board that this team was really good?

Pretty sure I pointed out many times that this was just year 2 of a complete program rebuild

8-4 was acceptable
9-3 would’ve been just fine with a nice bowl

Hard to verify who said what, since this board decided to start deleting threads in a weird attempt to goose metrics

Pretty sure Pat convinced Chicken to deep six those threads in an effort to hide his faithlessness.

(I'm kidding, by the way. This is all in fun. Those who were slow to believe this team was good had a long history to back their fears!)

Yeah, it really pisses me off

Unsticky the thread, but don’t delete it from existence, that really ticks me off

I had us going 6-6, 4-8 if things went wrong but I expected Auburn, Florida, LSU, and South Carolina to not shite the bed this year.

Most just recognized that this was year 2 after the jimbo tear down

I looked at the pre-season predictions on the rant and most Aggies were at 8-4

Sadly, no. Pat and Chicken destroyed the evidence.

He's getting a fat incentive check and a 1 year extension automatically. Lets see what happens next.

Everyone is going to start going the route of incentive based contracts. Now the amount per incentive may get crazy high but if you win the NC you deserve it imo.
I see a lot on Twitter of people mentioning LSU may do this with their next HC and I notice no one really mentions or maybe they don’t realize that’s how Elkos contract is structured. I’m sure after this season he’ll get a healthy bump in incentive payouts (amount) as he should. But I believe that’s going to be the theme moving forward. Base salaries will still be pretty dang high as is the nature of the coaching environment but we won’t see too many more 50+ million contracts being handed out. At least I don’t believe we will
