Refs and Media Slobbering On Gumps

Chris Doehring is a giant douche. Says he is skeptical of Texas A&M because of run defense (32nd ranked).
But slobbers DeBoer's knob despite gumps 74th ranked run defense.
And I am not gonna claim refs cost LSU the game last night but the league office needs to suspend that crew for a while for some terrible calls.

Some of you gotta pace yourselves. There are way too many big games ahead to be this coiled up and emotional. You got Texas, Bama/UGA/Miss and then hopefully for you 3 playoff games. It’ll all work its way out.

Elko is fat and probably needs a quad bypass ASAP.

They are wound so tight. They’re gonna squeeze it to death.

Alabama is a bend don't break defense. We don't give up many points, but we give up a lot of yards outside the redzone.
We are very aggressive trying to cause negative plays while at the same time keeping defenders back to prevent the big play TDs.
It's hard to adjust to as a fan because it feels like we're getting our arse kicked, but then it doesn't seem to transfer to the scoreboard.

You gave up 31 to FSU
And since then we’ve yet to give up more than 24, including games against Georgia (21), Vanderbilt (14) and Tennessee (20). 3 of the best offenses in the country.

It’s uncharted territory. I must admit.
So it’s going to be hard to expect everyone to be acting like they’ve been there before…

Lol A&M’s only good win this year was because of refs allowing A&M to hold like hell on the winning play against ND. Your O line literally tackled their D line. So STFU.

I’ve been saying something similar to A&M fans but this is very well said. It’s truly bizarre to see how wound up they are about perception when it’s quite clearly going to all play out in the end. Yes I know they don’t really have experience being a front runner but they have tended to be pretty chill, quality additions to this board, which makes this newfound trait so puzzling.

We are the #1 defense in the conference in PPG defense (18.3) in conference play, while playing arguably the best group of offenses.
Sorry if that makes you mad for some very strange reason.

Meh. One of those TDs happened on a short field due to a punt that touched one of our players and was recovered by SC on the 30.
Our defense forced two turnovers, held them to 3 YPC, & 18/33 passing.

Two of their TD drives started at midfield after a failed 4th down and another on the 'Bama 30 after a muffed punt.
You're probably the worst troll on this site, which is saying a lot.

A&M has played 1 offense ranked in the top 8 in the SEC in PPG vs SEC opponents - Arkansas.
Arkansas scored 42.
#3 Arkansas
#9 Mississippi State
#12 Missouri
#13 LSU
#14 Auburn
#15 Florida
The other solid offense you played, Notre Dame, scored 40.
So I dunno, just be happy with things and stop acting like a belligerent.

I’d like to see more pace as well. I’m firmly in the wait and see how it plays out camp. The media stuff means nothing at the end of the day.
But that’s a lot of slander to have to put up with over the years. So I can understand the pent up feelings about it that others have shown.
And it’s proven that preseason polls clearly play a roll. The teams with more pedigree in the past still get more favorable opinions now. It is what it is.

I guess it's hard to adjust after A&M being the butt of everyone's joke for so long. You never know how a small taste of success will affect some people.
'Bama fans have been in the mix enough times to know you don't assume everything will work out like you think it will this time of year, or that CFP rankings mean much of anything until the last one. This time last year we were fairly certain we'd whoop a bad OU team, hopefully beat Auburn and see where the chips fell for a playoff berth. Yeah, didn't exactly work out that way.
It's really weird to see them so easily offended over their schedule and trying to throw shade on 'Bama's in any way possible.

Bama’s admirable longevity on the national stage (and it is admirable Bama haters so deal with it) will earn it the benefit of doubt when it comes to the talking heads.
People (even the national yappers) will almost always ultimately defer to the more familiar and better known quantity and brand.
That’s just the way it works.
Ags just need to focus on the next challenge ahead and take care of the next task in front of them.
At the end of the day, Chris Doering’s opinion isn’t going to have a bit of direct impact on A&M’s winning a game. So in that respect, who gives a shite what he thinks?

Cut old Grandpa Sarge some slack, his bunions are acting up really bad & he fell in the shower this morning. He’s having a pretty rough day.
