The bammer LSU game might be more biased than our game today.

It will be that way until they move the Sec offices out of Birmingham.

Yup. I having been saying that since I was in college a long time ago. It will never happen.

It seems like there is a directive from the top to protect the teams that have a chance to make it to the playoffs. It’s all about the money.

In a perfect world, where officiating was down the middle, what's Auburn's record more likely to be today? 1-2 more wins? 3 wins?

And with those wins, assuming there's any, does CHF still keep his tee times for another year.

One of the OU fans had a solid idea on the Rant that is now buried - we need a dedicated Ref Board, where we can track bad/no calls and which crews make them. Keep some stats, just like everyone does for the teams themselves. Ironic that this idea came from an OU fan.....but still a good one.

I was pretty hammered for the game yesterday, but I recall a few brain dead calls from the ref. How bad was it actually? The offsetting pass interferences made me pretty upset

Vandy had 3 penalties last night and hardly was called for holding on offense when they should've been several times.

Yeah, Vandy got away with lots of obvious holds while Auburn got called for a couple extremely questionable holds. Notably, the one on Howard that negated an Ashton Daniels TD run.

Overall, they were not good, but it wasn't even close to the screw jobs we got in Norman and against UGA this season.

Moving out of Birmingham alone doesn’t solve the problem.

Neutral City and fire everyone in the Birmingham building.

This right here makes me less interested in CFB than Auburn being in their worst period of my life

With all of the pro athletes getting caught now regarding cheating it definitely wouldn’t surprise me real problems are happening at the college level.

Have you guys not been paying any attention whatsoever? We would have found ways to lose those games no matter what. That's what Hugh Freeze's teams have done since he got there. Repeatedly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yesterday, first and goal at the 4 yard line

Chaplin, false start …. Auburn settled for a FG because of the hole. Poor discipline, repeatedly.

We have to quit bitching about referees. I'm as pissed off as anyone about the substitution play vs OU, and the missed touchdown call vs UGA, but we're starting to sound like a bunch of fricking crybabies.

Despite the blown calls, Auburn still had chances to win those games. We lost because we didn't execute when it mattered the most.

I swear I don't ever remember us bitching and moaning like we have this year. We're fricking better than this. War Damn Eagle!

*Edit* I apologize for this post. Reading is fundamental.

We have been absolutely fricked in 2 games. Games determined by missed calls and missed calls even on reviews. The main topic of this discussion is there is a massive stench coming from officiating this season. I haven’t watched all games obviously but from most that I have regardless of what 2 teams there have been a clear bias favoring one team over another.

It’s also not always about number of penalties vs one team or another it’s the timing. It’s that extra foot on 3rd and 3 on the spot.

The timing of our penalties skews the effect as well. A holding on a 50 yard touchdown goes down the same as a hold on Vandy when they lost 3 yards in the stat sheet but affects the momentum so much. Ive always thought refs choosing the worst time to throw a flag is a discreet solution to swinging the game the way they want. But maybe its all coincidence

You know you've been screwed when you feel guilty for complaining about the refs so much, and afraid you'll be labeled a cry-baby.
