Drink's coordinator hire will be from the Chris Peterson tree. Maybe several layers down but I will be absolutely shocked if he steps outside the his comfort zone.

When Moore gets moved on ...

FIFY.

If we somehow have Drink and Moore next year ... Drink should be fired.

I dont think Moore was chosen because of a coaching tree, I think Drink took the guy who wanted the job. Almost like Odom.

Our best bet is a bag to Tim Beck with Pavia finally moving on.

Drink would be better hiring Navy or the mizzou sec rant than Tim Beck ...

Hire Freeze ... terrible HC but he can coach offense ...

Freeze doesn't seem any better developing QBs. That's what we need. An OC that works with the QBs strengths.

Why wouldn’t they?
Serious question.

Because Drink isnt the type of coach you hitch your career to. Too many big time games in the SEC, hard to build a great reputation at Mizzou. Even with 2 10 win seasons, Moore has gotten nothing. Now Freeze is a possibility because he's on the way down and won't get another shot. But Freeze and QBs aren't good. We need an OC that can adjust an offense for the QB.

Malik Willis from Liberty (currently backup on the Packers) would probably disagree ...

I think Freeze was handcuffed at Auburn and the Jackson Arnold selection should be a mulligan

Reading YouTube comments during the Florida coaching search about Drink many Florida fans did not want him hired because of the offense he runs. They said it was boring and did not work.

Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt, and now Texas A&M have all shut the offense down this season. Will Mississippi State have our number to I wonder.

That's like saying Odom developed Drew Lock. Freeze is supposedly known for his offensive mind, but he can't consistently field a QB. Unlike Kiffin who seems to excel at the QB position.

We really need to fix the QB position. Moore doesn't adjust for his QB strengths. Same sideline passes and wait for Olugbode to make a great catch. No rhythm passes to help the kid.

Fair enough.

Get a QB coach and OC that understands the middle of the field isn't against the rules of football

No calls to help the QB. Boy, that showed through again today. Young QB trying to get through his first game, in a tough assignment. And it did not feel like Moore did much of anything to lower the pressure on him.

And Manning and the O-Line did not rise to the occasion of doing everything they could to help him out either.

I was watching an interview, and Ole Miss has a pretty sharp offensive assistant. He actually found Chambliss late in the cycle when Pribula chose Mizzou. May be a possibility.

Remember 4 years ago when Cook was completing rhythm passes to 10 different receivers every game and had a string of completions without an INT. Then something happened, and they wanted to make a QB out of Cook with back shoulder passes to the sideline. So we know at 1 time Moore and Drink had a very QB friendly offense that used the middle of the field.
