If tweet fails to load, click here. Years of our fans time has been effected. How it’s not a fireable offense is beyond me.
Of course, firing yurachek is again just a superficial fix for a deeper problem

Keep Bobby and wait. Picked one of the worst years ever to change coaches. Unless, we have an ace up our sleeve like Cal, I don't see this going well.

Hunter is the problem.
Have you heard Calipari complain about the lack of NIL and losing players he wanted because of it? No, because Tyson gave him the money direct.
Have you heard of DVH making these complaints? No because the Hunts gave him the money direct.
You only hear of football because HY had a third party company manage the football NIL, this company has minimums to be pay before any funds are dispersed and gives themselves bonuses is certain amounts are reached.
So the issue starts with hunter and was compounded by Sam wanting a say in what was paid and not have a hand in raising the funds to do so. To top it off he and his staff became lazy in recruiting because they had the NIL boogie man to blame it on.
The truth is the only program being managed by some one other than the HC is football and it has HY fingerprints all over it, they need to clean house down to the equipment managers the other program people care about will be fine as they are already self sufficient.
The only thing HY had meddled with in these sports has been for the worse, take the seating arrangement in BWA for example, you now how Chuck and Coach Z not able to do the play by play of people in the rolls ahead of them stand up. You have had BWA dollars out for 5 years and counting and HY want to renovate the the area to reduce seating.
It not just that his decisions are bad, they are often delayed, not talking about him sitting in the hallway looking like he shite himself the night he fired chaggy, but he refused to fire Sam a year ago when it was obvious to everyone it was time with no sec and few major openings to fire him the opening month of the following season in a year where half of the big 6 is open.
We have precedent with this, Crowe was fired early in the season and his replacement was brought in during that same season in Ford by Broyles. That is decision making not wishy washy who can we get 3 months later.
Jeff Long had his choice between Bert and Les which are both highly respected and accomplished HCs at the time.
HY is flying to Oregon to interview Will Stein who has been an OC for two seasons and who's only HC experience is one season in high school.
HY isn't superficial he's the root and stem.

Before Tyson secured Cal, HY was interviewing Chris Jans.
Even after Tyson repeated his desire for HY to contact Cal, he interviews Darrell Walker.
After this Tyson had to be blunt that Cal would come and the details were already worked out, then HY calls and tries to take all the credit.

The problem with letting the boosters decide in football is you allow the program to be nationally embarrassed by Gus two times and get Rhett a pay raise and extension.
When they and the former players do get their say you get Houston Nutt, Chaggy, and Sam Pittman.

Give him a 2 year deal and wait until we aren't competing with half of the P4 for a coach. Either he turns the program around or we hire someone in better circumstances in a year or two.
Keep Bobby and wait.

You have to give a minimum of 4 years to whomever the coach is.
There is not reason for a massive buyout with the expanded playoff format. Petrino even less so due to age and history, of course there was zero reason for the buyout structure given to Pittman but HY did it anyway.

Yeah it’s a risk but in the modern NIL environment, we may be forced to let a group of boosters take their pick. At least whoever you bring in that way has the built in financial support. Doesn’t really matter how great the coach is, if you don’t have the money to go with him

Hopefully you’re right
But whoever hired him & has allowed him to stay deserves some blame as well.

Ridiculous. He definitely needs to go.

I assumed someone like Petrino with his lack of leverage would be more pliable with terms.

It's standard because incoming freshen are theoretically committing to four-five years into he program.
This is of course changing but we are not there yet. This is why successful coaches get or have one year extensions built in their contracts for meeting certain criteria.

Been saying this for years, Hunter and Sam should have been both let go years ago.
Sam was never the guy and Hunter cares more about non revenue generating sports, so he can win the athletic directors cup. Yay! We came in 2nd to Stanford… in the who gives a shite cup.

I assumed it was so you could still recruit high schools. Coming out of high school players still believe they will be with a school all 4 years. Once they get to college, they know they won’t.
But give him a 4 year contract that’s front loaded, no buyout on our end after 2 years. If he isn’t showing something by the end of year 2 with actual boosters, then cut him loose and he had a shot.

If they already know they can't do better than Bobby then go ahead and announce it. Let Bobby play KJ and all the backups a ton of snaps so maybe we can keep some.that we want and get them the experience.
Then Bobby is free to start recruiting players with the assurance he'll be the coach and release the details of the deal/NIL package, etc. for leverage with recruits.
I still think we could get someone else. After yesterday's meltdown, I'm 100% sure we need to. But we are Arkansas and we would frick this up if we were the only team in the country with an opening.
No matter what we do, this has to he the end of Hunter. He is the root cause for all of our pain right now and in the foreseeable future.

If you play the backups the only thing you accomplish is give them more leverage for NIL money when they transfer
