Likely destination is a SEC job. Which program takes a chance on Kliff?

Vanderbilt after Lane goes to Florida, Orgeron goes to Ole Miss, Arkansas gets Lea and LSU gets Vanderbilt's OC as head coach and Vandy hires Kliff to be HC and OC.

If Kiffin were to leave Ole Miss (I don't think he should), Kingsbury would be a good fit there. Kliff is a bit like Lincoln Riley; it's unlikely he's ever going to field a great defensive team, so I don't see him being a fit at a place like LSU. Maybe Florida would be interested if Kiffin turns them down?

I know we’re not getting lane so I’d take Kliff over anyone else

Never mind that Kliff failed miserably at Texas Tech.

Kliff to Florida would not be bad
You wouldn’t have to get tied down to a large amount or a large contract, more of a prove yourself, and we will pay you more type of deal
Low risk in a year where are lots of people will be paying stupid money for unproven coaches

I've never seen an industry so bent on recycling.

Yeah but he’s a NFL guy. Look at Patricia and what’s he’s been able to do with OSU’s defense. And Patricia sucked at Detroit. Kliff was considered a great offensive mind not that long ago.

CAW, isn't this a bit extreme, even for you?

Gene made some mistakes, but trying to win at A&M in the 60s was an impossible task. When he went to Bama years later (after a stint in the pros), it was a different story.

Kliff is still trying to make fetch happen in the NFL. It ain’t where it’s at. He needs to go back to school

I hope not. He's a good coach, but deep down I think his heart is at Vandy. IMO he should stay there until he retires or they're stupid enough to fire him.

Ssssshhhhhh! We're trying to talk a rival into hiring a flawed coach.
