Dinardo was a great hire at the time and (along with Kevin Faulk) a huge part of bringing back fun and excitement to LSU football after years in the dark.
I have nothing bad to say about him other than he wasn’t top tier. Good coach and man though.

Dinardo was not a bad hire. He actually did very good things for the program and left the cupboard quite full for Saban.
DiNardo’s undoing was hiring Lou Tepper as DC.

Lsu fans are delusional. They talked about brian kelly as if he was some coach that stomped big teams asses. They got exactly what they paid for. Nothing more or less

Worst? No. Just a bad fit and did not meet expectations. Guy has been at best aloof, at worst half assing it.

Only one program (Alabama) has more National Titles since 2000 than LSU.

There is no overinflated sense with us. We know exactly where we stand. We also know that since 2020, we have not performed to the standard we expect. Thus…. O getting fired in 2022 and Kelly in 2025.
Kelly was always a bad hire since day one. It has been corrected today.

Not the worst but his contemporaries are out pacing him and he seems complacent in his situation.
I had high expectations for him and supported his hiring but it has become evident he is not the right guy for LSU

That is not the narrative that was being spun amongst the fan base when he was hired. Look fans always think their program is better than it is. According to LSU fans any coach can win a title at LSU if Les and Ed O could. What also has to realize is you will likely be a playoff team every 3 maybe 4 years and may only win a NC in a 15 yr period. That’s certainly what I expect at Alabama. But anyone claiming Brian Kellybis the worst hire in LDu history has no sense of what LSU has been and are certainly delusional about what LSu can be in this era of college football. I’ve said repeatedly the Alabama dynasties are a thing of the past, the Georgia mini dynasty is a thing of the past unless you have Texas or B1G money
