At the 8ish minute mark, they comment that during interviews, Drink stated that running game play calling needed to be better. Drink noted that they ran counter one time last week for one of the longest runs and then never went back to it.

Hmmm. If only Drink had some way to communicate with the OC on play calls.

Eli needs to speak up if Moore is being dumb.

We really need to upgrade OCs

Eli shouldn't have to say anything IMO. There's at least 5 pairs of eyes in the booth, each watching a given level of the defense. The analysts are watching how teams are destructing the run blocks and communicating with the on field staff. Moore has to make better and quicker use of his data because waiting until the 4th qtr to put a coherent offensive plan together wont work this week. The game will be out of reach unless the front 7 has a historic day.

I was rewatching the Auburn game and the level of ineptitude on our last possession at end of the 4th quarter was astonishing.

The game plan should have been Ahmad run to the right 3 times, don't fumble, and center ball for the kicker. Especially bad when you see how close that kick was.

If the opposing defense plan for the rest of the season is to sell out to stop Hardy and Roberts there should be holes in the secondary to exploit. I know that is easy for me to say. Vandy held us to 17 or 20 points last year in regulation.

The receivers and tight ends should be happy because their time to shine is now. Will we see some deep balls this week? Maybe? I can't believe an SEC qb cannot throw a ball 40 yards downfield semi accurately. Let the play makers fight for it.

The curse of Mizzou. Every coach/coordinator comes in, gets tight and plays not to lose. When the whole fanbase is handing them house money and screaming "go for it!"

Kirby and Beau have hard jobs. Playing tight and not to lose has worked many times. Easy for me to say air it out.

A long pass to Johnson has cracked a couple games open in the past. Beau connected with Olugbode to make it a 3 point game in the 4th quarter in the Alabama game. I think Beau has it in him but maybe the coaches see in practice that it is too risky.

Vanderbilt is ranked 71st in passing yards allowing 223 yards per game. This is the game where Beau has to get right.

Mizzou is 13th, allowing just 159 yards per game.

Thanks for returning us to the land of facts and reality.

Diego is a baller, and has helped Vandy rise up and surprise some people the last couple of seasons. And the talking heads love him.

But, that does not make Vandy on the same level as Georgia, Bama, or Ohio State.

They have weaknesses, and should not overpower us with superior power at any other position.

Execute. No stupid penalties or plays. Cover the !@#@#$ tight end. Contain Pavia. Play our game. Go home with a good W.

Vandy also hasn't faced a competent rushing attack in any of their games ...

The best rushing team they faced all season comes in at #51 (Virginia Tech) ... the rest are #83 or worse in rushing ypg ...

With Trost back, I expect to see a lot of Hardy and Roberts until Vandy proves they can stop it ... and I just don't think they can without loading up 7-8 in the box and having the safeties crashing downhill ...

At that point, you play action to fly/go routes to Johnson, Coleman and/or Olegdube and take off the top when the Cover 2 safeties are crashing to stop the run ...

My only concern in this game is Batoon running his soft zone and our DL getting past Pavia for RPO exploits ...

Expect a shootout ... 35-28 MIZ.
