The Mississippi schools add zero value to this conference outside of a couple baseball titles. They are among the worst universities in the SEC academically. The rest of the SEC is simply better than them. In all facets of life. Well, maybe not Arkansas. But everyone else for sure.

They are simply leaches on the conference. Taking that TV money and providing nothing. I’ve hated all of the Big 12 additions, but at least Texas and Oklahoma are historic programs. A&M is a pretty good school and they bring tv views. And at least Missouri is AAU? Honestly, outside of that I don’t really see their value either.

I know State and Ole Miss are founding members, but I feel that the SEC has evolved past that. We don’t need any schools from Mississippi in the conference. We could use schools from North Carolina and Virginia.

Fun fact: Boddy Dodd never wanted to play in Mississippi because he thought the state was beneath him.

You’ll have to explain to me how Texas will score 3 TDs, much less win by that much.

What retards like you don't understand is that if you go to a handful of blue blood and 2nd tier teams like Georgia as a mega conference, you're guaranteeing to seal the fate of NCAA D1 football with irreversible damage.

Viewership dwindles to a fraction of what it was, advertisers back out, and the handful of people still watching will have to foot the bill in their cable packages to broadcast all games (which would be prohibitively expensive to even be feasible), or go back to the early 90s and listen on the radio to most games.

You're delusional if you think the majority of college football fans of the other 263 teams are watching Georgia vs Texas because they actually give a crap about Georgia and Texas. We watch because there are past, present and future ramifications for our teams.

Not that this a fresh take or anything, but it's still as dumb as the first chud who typed it out.

You need balance in the conference. If you started a conference with UGA, Bama, Texas, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Missouri and Ohio State, someone is going 0-7, someone is going 1-6, etc. Over time, one of those brands will become diluted.

The academic standing is largely because public universities are supposed to serve their states citizens. The students that in Georgia go to Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Valdosta, North Georgia, Augusta, West Georgia, Georgia College and State, et. al. don't have those options in Mississippi.

So State and Ole Miss have to serve the students of our state since we don't have a ton of other options like Georgia and Texas.

This is right up there with LSU talking trash to Mizzou.

Hopefully you are the only Dawg fan doing this and it doesn't get weird.

Not exactly true. His biggest issue with playing them had to do with travel. It was difficult to get to both schools back in those days.

Naw. It’s well documented that he thought the State of Mississippi was garbage.
