Hi all - will be visiting Oxford for the first time for Florida game. Any 'Grove' tips would be appreciated.

do you like pretend chandeliers hanging from a popup tent and grocery store chicken finger platters, all while being so crowded you're shoulder to shoulder with everyone around you?
If so you'll have a blast

Keep beverages in solo cups and you should be fine.

The State boards have threads on it every year about how their setup is so much better.....perusing those kind of gets me in the Thanksgiving spirit

Leave the shorts annd jersey ant home and put on a Peter Millar vest over a dress shirt, with some khakis.

This.
I mean, it's not a bad atmosphere, but yeesh. Spread it out a little bit.

I'd love for you to copy and paste where I ever said I don't enjoy it. I'll wait.
What I WILL say is that's it's overrated as hell as a tailgate destination. There is nothing unique or special about it. Every SEC campus has a quad or greenspace of some kind where a frickton of tents are all set up next to each other.

You don’t even have to do this anymore (unless you’re underage).

You insinuated it wasn’t an enjoyable experience but sure I guess we can pretend you didn’t

If you are straight, you can have a blast.
Most Ole Miss guys are gay, so there is like a 7:1 ratio of women to straight males.

Woman’s khaki shorts from Ann Taylor, kroakies for your glasses, and some overpriced shirt and you should be GTG.

While this is true... and I could live without the southern genteel pretentiousness of the Grove...
The Grove is nice for a few reasons....
1) It is a really big area compared to many of the other greenspaces
2) It has more and bigger trees than a lot of other places
3) It is basically both the front and center of campus
4) It is close to the stadium
5) It doesn't have a competing commercial/entertainment district right by campus that it has to compete with for activity.
