So far, he hasn't done much. Plus, I think he has a couple of offensive pass interference penalties. Saturday, the TE's were as much of a story as anything else. I don't know if Gunner was told to start throwing to them more, or it just happened. In any case, the TE production was huge.
I say keep the TE as a first option and hopefully, go through a progression or 2 in passing situations.
The OL had their best game of the season but, there is more work/improvement needed. Hopefully, they can get and stay healthy.
The defense is a cluster f**k. So, I have no answer for them.

The finer point of calling opi is did the defenders momentum change, it did not. He went where he was going regardless.

There's a core group of 4 or 5 dorks (some might be each others alters) who like to try and take over this board any time Georgia loses. Right now you are giving them motivation, and they don't need any more motivation.
...Dillon Bell has 2 long contested catches in the last 2 weeks playing the Colbie Young role. Between Bell and Noah Thomas, we'll probably be alright. Even though Colbie Young is one of the best players on the team this year, I think that X receiver is one of the positions where losing a starter hurts the least.

I think he can be a better receiver but he can’t block or bully guys as well

It was the yak ans Colby size that was paying off. Definitely sucks as they were all just coming together/

It also doubly sucks about Talyn Taylor’s injury. I know he had the Bama drop and he plays Z or slot not X, but a freshman playing as much as he did early would be in line for major snaps at this point with CY’s injury.

I trust Thomas’ hands but Colby’s hands were 100% on point. He also has been the more powerful runner with the ball in his hands. Not sure Thomas has the same leg drive.

Hearing some good chatter about Roldan

Kinda cool that Thomas was just in the back pocket. Can't replace CY, but will ameliorate the loss.

Yeah. It won’t be a one guy makes up for Colbie kind of thing. Thomas and Wiley will both get more snaps. TE’s will also pick up some of the slack. Luckie in particular.

CJ Wiley came into the game against Ole Miss. Listed at 6'4 210, his size is silimiar to Colbie Young. He runs a sub 11s 40. We're seven games into the season with a bye week. Gunner have options.

Stud.
Saw him up close in my 1st round playoff game last year when Milton played Woodstock and I saw him again sitting in the stands at MBS at the state finals against Langston.
He's a man amongst boys.

Nice. Roland is THE fastest on the team.

Kirby mentioned Wiley's continued development today, I think. Good sign.

One has to wonder if that was an effect of CY going down. He had the most touches of all, which would have forced them to spread it around more.

Roldan is not a X. If he contributes it will be because someone else is playing more at X and he’s playing Z or slot. CJ Wiley and Dillon Bell are the most likely candidates to compensate for losing Young. Noah Thomas will continue to get reps at Z with/behind Humphreys. Branch is pretty much solidified at slot.

Thanks! Wasn't sure on where Roldan would fit.

He's drawn a few PIs that kept otherwise-stalled scoring drives going, which is pretty significant since we don't appear to show up until down 2 scores and demonstrate a pulse until the 3Q.
